Amethyst is the Birthstone for February. It’s a beautiful stone that is available in many purple tones. Amethyst belongs to the quartz group, and is one of the most common crystals but is the most highly valued in the Quartz group. Traditionally it has been worn to guard from drunkenness!  But today it is believed to have many properties that are beneficial to the mind and body. 

Amethyst has often been used as a calming stone, and is believed to be one of the most powerful of the healing stones giving off naturally tranquillising energy. Amethyst is also thought to promote love and serenity and blocks stress and negative energy.  Amethyst is thought to be beneficial to the mind - calming you and making you feel less scattered, and more in control.  Amethyst is also said to assist with insomnia, by placing it  under your pillow.

This silver amethyst ring is set on 1.5mm silver and the amethyst is 8mm making it feel nice and solid, while still having a delicate and elegant look.  It comes in a dimple finish all the textures catches the light so beautifully.  The amethyst looks stunning as it catches the light, with a beautiful deep purple hue.   

 At Hollie Tree Silver, we take the time to handcraft each ring in our Yorkshire workshop, taking great care to make sure each item is finished to perfection.  Each ring is handcrafted, so no two rings are exactly the same giving you something totally unique.
